License Commission — Rendang Restaurant
Beer and wine
Dear License Commission Members:
I write in support of the beer and wine application for the new Rendang Restaurant. As I understand it, it will not be a full liquor license and beer and wine will only be served to diners, thus obviating one of the primary concerns people have with liquor licenses- that of folks showing up to pound beers and do shots, getting drunk and becoming a nuisance.
A fine meal often tastes better with a cold beer or a glass of wine, and I am sure Rendang's food will do justice to the beer and wine it would serve. Without this license, I imagine the restaurant will not succeed given the competition in Harvard Square, which I think would be detrimental to the area and the City as a whole.
