A satirical response to recent criticisms of the Stabilization Committee

Fishing and winning in North Cambridge

(with a tip of the pen to those politicians and pundits who provided the material)

Listen North Cambridge to my tale of woe
of why our tax base will cease to grow.
It's a story that will bring you to the realization
that what's wrong with North Cambridge is all Stabilization.

For the Stabilization Committee, you see
holds some opinions with which I disagree.
I'm right and they're wrong, it's all very clear.
Just listen to me and you'll have nothing to fear.

When they do nothing, everything is just fine,
but propose a project and they all start to whine.
They piss and they whine and they whine and they piss,
they look at the project and ask "what is this?"

Some get upset at the million square feet
of office buildings proposed for their street.
While others insist for some reason, the fools,
that when issuing permits the City follow the rules.

They are all apathetic (and hysterical too).
They only think of themselves and never of you.
They never do nothing but stand in the way
of more better jobs, at more better pay.

They're pathologically opposed to folks who drive cars
and they don't want their streets to be lined with bars.
They don't understand that bigger is best.
More traffic, more buildings, we must grow without rest.

They are all self-promoters with questionable taste
who keep peddling fears of hazardous waste.
They manipulate data, they scream and they shout.
I don't like them in town, we should kick them out!

When they hold meetings they play loose with the facts
and they are all masters of ad homine attacks.
Conspiracy theories guide every action
of this obstructionist group, this cavalier faction.

Unlike me, their agenda's concealed
but thanks to my vigilance, the truth is revealed.
Their meetings offer nothing, so you never should go.
To learn the true facts, just watch my show.
